Dr. Sanjiv Goenka
Chairman
With an asset base of over USD 4.3 billion, the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has Sanjiv Goenka as its Chairman. The Group has over 50,000 employees and over a hundred thousand shareholders with annual revenues of up to USD 2.6 billion.
The Group's businesses spanning across six sectors - Power & Natural Resources, Carbon Black, Retail, Media & Entertainment and IT & Education, include flagship companies such as CESC Limited, Firstsource Solutions Ltd, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd and Saregama India Ltd.
Born in 1961, Sanjiv Goenka is currently the Honorary Consul of Canada in Kolkata. In April 2001, he took over as the youngest-ever President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), was appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) and currently serves on the board of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata (IIM-Kolkata).
Sanjiv Goenka was a former President of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) as well as the All India Management Institute (AIMA), and a member of the Prime Minister's Council on Trade & Industry. He is also the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Woodlands Medical Centre Ltd, Kolkata.
The younger son of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group's Chairman Emeritus, Late Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka, Sanjiv Goenka is married to Preeti. They have a daughter, Avarna, and a son, Shashwat.
Since its establishment as a family business by Ramdutt Goenka in 1820, the Goenkas have constantly innovated and diversified, adapting to changing times and laws, evolving from the domains of banking, textiles, tea and jute, to new-age ones industries such as Retail, IT and Communications, Entertainment, Power, Transmission, Tyres and Life Sciences.
Sanjiv Goenka is extremely optimistic about today's India and enthused by basic data such as the emergence of a large and young working population with a median age of 24, the rising number of urban nuclear families, working women and emerging opportunities in the service sector. He sees infrastructure creation and retail as sharing a symbiotic relationship, emerging as a major contributor to the GDP, the exchequer, and job creation in the future.
Sanjiv Goenka believes there is no replacement for the age-old virtues of sheer hard work, clear vision and the courage to bring an entrepreneurial streak into management. For him, there are no secrets to success which do not spring from perseverance, preparation, hard work and learning.
Shashwat Goenka
Vice-Chairman
Mr. Shashwat Goenka, 29 years of age, is a graduate from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, with a Bachelor of Science in economics, specializing in finance, marketing and management. Mr. Goenka is the immediate ‘past President of Indian Chamber of Commerce and current Chairman of CII National Committee on Retail and FICCI Young Leaders Forum. He is also Executive Committee Member - National Executive Council, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Director - Retailers Association of India (RAI). Currently, Mr. Goenka is the Sector Head of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group's Retail & FMCG sector.
He is also a Director on the Boards of Spencer International Hotels Ltd, Phillips Carbon Black Limited (PCBL), Spencer's Retail Limited (SRL) and CESC Ventures Limited (CVL).
Mr. Goenka is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of CESC Limited.
Pradip Kumar Khaitan

Mr. Pradip Kumar Khaitan aged 73 years, B.Com, L.L.B., Attorney-at-Law (Bell Chambers Gold Medalist) is an eminent legal personality in the country. He is senior partner of Khaitan & Co., an eminent firm of lawyers and member of the Bar Council of India, Bar Council of West Bengal and Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi. His areas of specialization are commercial and corporate laws, tax laws, arbitration, intellectual property, foreign collaboration, mergers and acquisition, restructuring and de-mergers. Mr. Khaitan is on the board of several well-known companies in India. Mr. Khaitan's advice is sought in all matters where significant legal issues are involved.
Kusum Dadoo

Ms. Kusum Dadoo is a Science and a Law Graduate from Calcutta University. Ms. Dadoo has done attomeyship from Calcutta High Court. She was associated with Khaitan & Co. Advocates, for over 39 years and has huge experience in Real Estate, Banking and Finance related matters.
Vineet Sikka

Mr. Vineet Sikka an alumnus of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, and IIMB having proficiency in business management, with 35 years of rich & diverse industry experience.
He started his career with Siemens Ltd and having served the customers across various industry segments and markets, moved on to ABB Ltd at senior level positions in sales & marketing, channel management, operations in utility, industries, infrastructure & renewables domains. In his latest stint as CEO of BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd, contributed immensely in ensuring uninterrupted qualitypower supply to customers, reduction of T&D losses, optimizing costs & improving operational efficiencies through digitalisation of processes, enhancing customer delight through various new innovative B2C digital initiatives and simultaneously enhancing productivity.
Brajesh Singh
Managing Director (Generation)
Mr. Brajesh Singh is a Mechanical Engineer from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and M. Tech in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi. He has 37 years of experience in the power generation sector.
Mr. Singh has made significant contributions to plant operations, commissioning and project management during his association with previous companies.
He was previously associated with NTPC Limited and Tata Power Company Limited.
Sunil Mitra
Independent Director
Mr. Sunil Mitra retired in June 2011 from the office of Revenue & Finance Secretary, Government of India. In his public service career spanning over three and a half decades, he successfully spearheaded important policy initiatives in public finance at the national level, including a new disinvestment policy and far-reaching taxation reforms. During his earlier appointments under the West Bengal Government, he is credited with the design and implementation of significant public policy reforms in the State-owned Public Sector Enterprises and in restructuring the State's power sector.
After completing his term of public service, Mr. Mitra chaired a Committee in the Planning Commission between October 2011 and August 2012 tasked with a comprehensive review of the different sectors of our economy and formulate recommendations that would foster a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurship in the country.
Mr. Mitra also served as member of a Technical Advisory Panel set up by the Government of India, to review an Indian Power Sector Diagnostic Study Report prepared by the World Bank. Mr. Mitra serves as a Non-Official Member of the Eastern Regional Board of the Reserve Bank of India and as a Non-Executive & Independent Director on the Boards of a number of Public Companies.
Mr. Mitra is appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of CESC Limited for a term of five years with effect from 14 November, 2019 subject to the approval of the members of the Company.
Debanjan Mandal

Mr. Debanjan Mandal is a Partner in Fox & Mandal, a premier multi-disciplinary law firm in Kolkata, established in 1896. The St. Xavier's alumnus has over 20 years of post-qualification experience in the fields of corporate and commercial laws, real estate, infrastructure, dispute resolution and mergers and acquisitions. He is a member of the Incorporated Law Society, High Court at Calcutta, Supreme Court Bar Association and International Bar Association, U.K. Mr. Mandal sits on the Boards of several companies in an array of sectors including in tea, retail, plywood and hospitality and is also a Member of the Executive Committee of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of ICC National Expert Committee on Corporate & Legal Affairs.
Arjun Kumar

Mr. Arjun Kumar, aged 53 years, holds a bachelor's degree in Education and Physics from the Homerton College, University of Cambridge. He has been serving as the Managing Director in Naresh Kumar & Company Private Limited ("NKCPL") since 2000. Apart from successfully spearheading the business of the Company, he has the acumen and vast experience in the field of amalgamation, merger, business acquisition, startups, corporate law, finance and one of the pioneer in the implementation of SAP and MIS.
During his tenure as the Managing Director of NKCPL, he has been instrumental in inter alia the conclusion of the amalgamation of eight firms into NKCPL, implementation of SAP and total computerisation of accounts and MIS and in building an asset block of dewatering plants, stockyards, vehicles, loaders, excavator and similar equipment which can be deployed as per the needs of clients.
Paras Kumar Chowdhary

Mr. Paras Kumar Chowdhary, aged 73 years, a science graduate and a seasoned professional
having more than 45 years of experience in strategies, finance, sales and marketing. He
served in senior management positions in various conglomerates, notably, Managing
Director in CEAT Limited, President & Whole-time Director of Apollo Tyres Limited etc. At
present Mr. Chowdhary is the Director on the Board of different
companies including CEAT Limited, RPG Enterprises Limited and Einzigartig Electoral Trust
(Section 8 Company).
