You can apply by visiting the Online AC Application section in the Customer Zone of our website (www.cesc.co.in).
You can apply for up to 3 ACs or a total load of 6 KW through this module.
This application can be made only for domestic and commercial consumers.
2. How do I know if my current meter can handle my AC requirements?
Your monthly Electricity Bill clearly exhibits your meter's capacity to run 1, 2, or 3 ACs.
However, you still need to apply online via the Online AC Application section on our website to get official approval for any air-conditioning load.
3. How much do I need to pay to increase my load when installing one or more ACs?
The amount you'll need to pay, i.e., any Additional Security Deposit and/or Service Charges, will be displayed once you complete the Online AC Application form on our website.
4. How long will it take for the meter to be changed?
Upon making Application, our system will check if the metering Equipment is of adequate capacity to cater to the load of your Air Conditioner. If so, upon payment of the Security Deposit (as displayed), we will send the confirmation email informing you that you can start using the Air Conditioner. In case the Metering Equipment is found to be of inadequate capacity, the date of carrying out the activity of upgradation of our equipment will be communicated to you through email, after settlement of the applicable Service Charges/ Security Deposit.
5. How will I know when I can run my AC if the meter isn't changed?
For cases where a meter exchange isn't required, we'll send an intimation to your registered email ID, granting you the necessary approval to run your AC(s).
6. What if I want to install more than 3 ACs?
If you're planning to install more than three air conditioners, you'll need to apply for Additional Load. You can do this by visiting the "New Connection / Addl. Load / Shifting" section in the Customer Zone of our website (www.cesc.co.in).
Upon making Application, our system will check if the metering Equipment is of adequate capacity to cater to the load of your Air Conditioner. If so, upon payment of the Security Deposit(as displayed), we will send the confirmation email informing youthat you can start using the Air Conditioner.
