Solar PV Generation Guidelines

Scheme

Consumer who has installed / proposed to install a Solar PV generation system will have to avail either Net Metering or Net Billing methodology. Injection from roof top sources will be settled either on Net Metering or on Net Billing basis in terms of applicable regulations (please click on the URL: https://wberc.gov.in/sites/default/files/REGU71.pdf) of the Hon’ble West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission.

• Capacity of Solar PV generating system should be at least 1 KW.
• Capacity of Solar PV source should be equal to or lower than the Consumer’s sanctioned load.
• For Consumers with sanctioned load more than 5 KW, Net Billing will be applicable.
• Consumers with sanctioned load between 1 KW to 5 KW may opt for Net Metering.
